The 24-Km Beach Road from Visakhapatnam to Bhimili is one of the longest beach roads in India. The sun kissed beaches enroute make the drive as enjoyable as the destination. The drive starts from Visakhapatnam City and its environs presents a soul string  panorama of  golden beaches, lush green vegetation and splendid monuments from a  rich Historical heritage. It is a large busy port and Industrial Centre with a Shipyard Giant Steel plant and Several industries it is the seat of Andhra University which was founded in 1926 and also the Headquarters of Eastern Naval Command .
